The wood is extremely dense, making for very durable tabletops. Rather than cutting curved pieces for a ship's hull, shipbuilders typically searched for the naturally occurring intense curve to match the hull design.
The naturally curved slabs from this specie give a unique look to any project. Common Name:. We Are Always Alone by portrayal of guilt. This Philly indie pop project's new EP features curlicues of guitar and soft-swaying percussion along with tender, soft-spoken vocals. Black Line by Respire. Toronto band Respire deliver a post-hardcore tour de force on the largest scale possible, orchestrally rich and incessantly uncompromising.

ES EL 69 The "Don't Look Twice" EP is a hyperactive freak scene all its own - eyeball rattling punk for the dungeon is what's happening here, with each song a hit: Short. And in spite of the lack of a notion of 60s anything in the grooves, our fried French friends still manage to squeeze in an homage to a living legend in "Don Craine" - founder of UK rhythm n' beat heroes The Downliners Sect, inspiration to Billy Childish, regular Ugly Things Magazine contributor, and Bo Diddley worshipper.
This ain't rocket science, mon frere, it is rock'n'roll, and we wouldn't have it any other way! It's been a few years since their last recordings, but the trio ex-duo hasn't atrophied a hair. These four new cuts are infected with a pustulent brew of the 'Blivs and even discharge some Discharge.
Scatterbrained guitar screech, expansive bass that pulsates like mid-'gasm peni, and rudimentary kit pummel this IS rock'n'roll after all keeps the jones down even after you've run out of coke.
A super fine slab from the original Kings of Basement Rock! You're gonna be in need the number of a good oral surgeon once this one is over, guaranteed! TV EYE We dug up this 45 towards the end of , listened to it about times in a row that evening, and began researching the band the next day, which resulted in locating organ player Mike McFadden in our own backyard. He provided insanely cool band photos - two of which are reprinted in full color for the 7inch insert.
We couldn't be more proud to present this haunting teenbeat single to the world 50 years later. This new 7inch, their third release and first for us, is a bonafide banger from the get-go, putting the smack down with a snarling four songs in six minutes wallop, steeped in that radical moment in time where late 70s UK punk and early 80s Ami-hard core collided.
From the opening, ear-piercing squeal of "Not Alright," to the deadly squall of feedback and brain-bashing pummel on "Not Coming Back," Sore Points fork over breakneck kicks in spades, and guarantees your own rock'n'roll kicks for days.
PAIN MUD Its as good a song as band leader Seth Sutton has ever done, and hes done a ton of them. These three snotty blasts of weirdo pogo bring the attack with droning Buzzcocks licks and tribal, ritualistic beats. A raging session for their Slovenly debut! Copies of the OG press are selling for stupid bucks online, so we reissued it, this time around with brand new cover art from Canuck lo-brow illustrator hero Darren Merinuk, and souped up vinyl mastering by Crypt Records honcho Tim Warren.
For the uninitiated, Red Mass was founded by Choyce in , and features an evolving cast of over musicians appearing on more than 30 releases thus far. Rouge N. KDAVR From their first recording studio sessions of Sept at Toe Rag, London.
LEPTA2 Previously only available as a CD on Bakudan JP , this new edition comes on a large-hole 10" platter and features an insert with lyrics translated to English by Greg Snazz. Mastered for vinyl by Tim Warren. FED UP DRIVE GO It's ideal for addicts of slop, fuzz, weirdness and fungus. CREAM EZRA HORSE PACOS ODIO Wacky kiddie record all about nutrition! LP Rock. Fat and meandering keyboard ebb and flow drive this interplanetary force more to the side of prog-rock than anything resembling garage-rock.
The trademark Magnetix primal rock'n'roll takeovers are omnipresent: complex, and as piledriving as ever via poisonous riffs and heady, hypnotic drums provided by Looch Vibrato and Aggy Sonora, respectively. PENNY Unnerving banshee howls drench the soundscape, surreal, and at times, miraculously humorous.
Often stiff, militant and urgent, this newest effort makes no qualms with slathering a syrupy dose of synthesizers bending around the crest of the lunar rising, utilizing reverb soaked woodwinds that spiral down from a 5th flight, and employing totemic canter handed down through the millennia while remaining constantly searing.
LIE They wanted me to dedicate few words to their "Sense of Spectacle," so maybe you're expecting to read a long list of over-the-top metaphors and grandiose yet undeserved adjectives to describe their songs. That's not gonna happen. I'm not going to do anything even remotely similar - they wouldnt want that. I'm not going to say that this is an album created through balls and ingenuity, an arrogant and tender artifact, full of urgent melodies, hymns about daily struggles and the same nervous verbosity as many UK-based bands from past decades The Clash, Buzzcocks, Mekons, Zounds, Stiff Little Fingers, Television Personalities , or that they know how to squander with taste and impertinence the inheritance of some local heroes Paralisis Permanente, Eskorbuto, Ilegales or that even when they succumb to that fabled fatigue and their flamenco style comes out, they make it work.
I won't say that you should pay attention to the lyrics of these songs that are full of streets and nights, because, as in all the songs theyve written up to this point, they sing about the classic problem of fear, disgust, boredom, and the lack of communication in current times, and they talk about these issues in a way nobody else is doing.
I wont say any of that, of course not, because they would never want that, but above all, because whatever you say they are, they are, and even worse. ACID HIT ME JANEY
